Vancouver Parks Playing Field Status
Criteria used to determine if fields are not playable:
- heavy rain warning;
- standing water or large muddy areas on playing surface;
- frost or frozen playing surface.
The Park Board's field status message for weekend play is also available by phoning 604-473-6206 after Noon on Friday.

Field Policy and Etiquette
For competitive programs, coaches are expected to contact their opposing team's coach/manager by the Wednesday prior to the game to inform them of their game location and time. If you cannot reach the first contact, try the second.
BCCGSL use their Grass/Grass, Gravel/Grave Rule in the event of field closures due to inclement weather. If the home team's field is closed, the home team must contact the away team as soon as possible to inform them of the cancellation. If the away team can provide a grass field to play on, the game moves to the away team's location.
If neither team can provide a grass field, but one team can provide an all-weather (gravel) surface, the game will proceed on that gravel pitch. Every reasonable effort must be made to try and keep to the posted schedule.
